Stays local. Always. All data you create inside RunnerTab — your daily focus, todo list, notes, uploaded background photos, race details, weekly goal, and settings — is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to any server.
Optional. You're in control. Connecting your Strava account is entirely optional. If you choose to connect, RunnerTab fetches your running activities directly from the Strava API using your access token. This token is stored locally on your device only.
About the token proxy. A self-owned proxy (Cloudflare Worker) is used solely to handle the OAuth token exchange, so that the Strava API client secret is never exposed inside the extension. This proxy does not log, store, or process any of your Strava data — it only facilitates the secure handshake. No Strava data is stored on any external server. Activity data is fetched on demand and cached temporarily in your browser for performance.
RunnerTab contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no tracking of any kind. We have no visibility into how you use the extension.
RunnerTab does not require you to create an account. The Strava connection is optional and can be disconnected at any time from the extension settings. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes all locally stored data.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will be updated. We will never introduce data collection without updating this policy first.
