About RunnerTab

Built by a runner, for runners

Karlis running

RunnerTab started because something felt off.

I've been using Momentum for years. Clean, simple, great product. But I was only using a small part of it — notes and focus. That's it.

At the same time, I started running more seriously.

Karlis running

Running apps are the opposite. Full of dashboards, graphs, numbers everywhere. You open them, scroll, close. They show what you did. But they don't stay with you during the day.

What I wanted was simple: weekly km, progress toward my goal, days until my race. Right there. Every time I open a tab.

Then injury hit.

Missed a few days. Then a few more.

Finally went out for a run.

Ran. Walked. Stopped. Bit into my jacket. Screamed. Swore. Tried again.

Every step hurt. I was literally shouting F words because of the pain.

Meanwhile, Garmin says:
"Congrats. −10 performance." Not helpful.

That's when it clicked.

Most apps track performance. They don't help you stay in it.

I didn't need more data. I needed something that keeps me going. Something simple. Always there.

So I built RunnerTab.

A simplified Momentum-style new tab, but for runners. No random quotes. No general motivation. Just your weekly distance, your next race, one focus for the day. Clean. Minimal. Always there.

Why I made it public

This was just for me. But after using it every day, it felt like something other runners might also need. So I shared it.

What's next

RunnerTab will stay simple.

Next step is a small AI coach that helps with one thing: what to do next. Based on your recent runs and goals. No dashboards. Just a simple nudge.
